How to play
A flight game you can learn from the screen and HUD alone: the mouse steers, hold the left button or W to thrust, and SPACE is the warp dash that saves your life. Below: controls, goals, survival rules and HUD readouts.
Controls
MouseSteer and pitch; the view follows the cursor
Left click / WContinuous thrust (hold down)
SRetro-thrust to slow down, hug the disk or stop
A / DRoll left / right to trim the hull
← → ↑ ↓Keyboard steering: yaw left/right, pitch up/down
SPACEWarp dash: costs 28 warp energy, brief invulnerability
ESC / PPause, press again to resume
MSound on / off
ENTERTitle or result screen: start flying
RResult or pause screen: restart immediately
TouchSteer with the pad at bottom-left, thrust and dash at bottom-right
Goal
- Collect all 10 singularity echoes scattered through the accretion disk. Each one scores points and restores some fuel and hull.
- With all 10 collected the gate opens — fly into it to warp out and reach the result screen.
- On the result screen you can enter a callsign (up to 20 characters) and submit the run to the global fleet ranking.
Four things that keep you alive
- Gravity: the black hole is always pulling you in. The closer you are, the harder you must thrust and turn — drift past the event horizon and the run is over.
- Gravitational waves: a crest damages the hull and drains speed at the same time, and a slow ship is easy to pull in. When the warning appears, swing outward.
- Hawking radiation: an 18-second cycle that builds up slowly, holds at peak for 5 seconds, then fades. It burns harder near the horizon — the only answer is distance.
- Warp energy: regenerates slowly, each dash costs 28. It is both your escape tool and your fuel cap (different per ship) — do not empty it.
Tip: slice in along the outer rim of the disk for a slingshot. Higher multipliers score faster, but every extra second close in makes being caught more likely.
HUD readouts
- Top left: mission name, echo progress N / 10 and the current SCORE.
- Top centre: fuel percentage relative to the current ship’s energy cap — you launch full.
- Top right: hull integrity, distance to the event horizon, mission time, slingshot multiplier and Hawking radiation intensity.
- Bottom left: speed, absolute warp energy and whether SPACE dash is ready.
- Bottom right: FPS — click to cycle through frame time and memory usage.
FAQ
- Lagging? The page downsamples by screen resolution automatically; closing other tabs helps, and the FPS readout shows whether you are dropping frames.
- Can I play on a phone? Yes — landscape is recommended, and on-screen steer, thrust and dash controls appear automatically.
- Which ship is easiest? The Droplet is above baseline in both mobility and armor; the Enterprise and Natural Selection take more hits. Full comparison in theShip guide.
- No sound? Browsers require a click or key press before audio starts; press M to toggle it at any time, and you can swap in your own music.
